Help Build Our Nationally Recognized Collection
The Wright Museum is well-known for its exceptional Permanent Collection of authentic objects originating from the 1939-1945 war era. These home front and military items vividly illustrate the story of Americans during World War II. Our collections include: photographs, films, correspondence, sound recordings, insignia, uniforms, documents, books, works of art, toys, household items, weapons, vehicles, and other objects.
Not all items are appropriate for our collection, or perhaps would duplicate items already at the Museum. If you would like us to consider your donation, please contact our Executive Director, Michael Culver, at 603-569-1212 (fax: 603-569-6326), or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be aware:
We do not appraise items. We suggest that you contact a certified appraiser in your area for assistance. Contact the New England Appraiser's Association at newenglandappraisers.org or 901-758-2659 to find a certified appraiser.
For the safety of staff and visitors, we will not accept ammunition. If your donation is accepted, we cannot guarantee the continuous display of the item due to limited exhibition space. Collection items are sometimes lent to other educational institutions. Objects not accepted into the Permanent Collection may be added to the Museum's Education Collection or to our Research Library where they are made accessible to researchers and students.
We are grateful for your interest in donating to the Permanent Collection. We look forward to hearing from you.
