Museum Volunteers

Museum volunteer Bea Gagnon is one of the many charming and dedicated folks who greet visitors upon arriving. All of our frontline volunteers sweat the details of excellent customer service to ensure that visitors' Wright Museum experience is enjoyable.

Simply put, the efforts of the museum's 50 volunteers are the lifeblood of this institution. The Board and staff are truly grateful for these wonderful and dedicated individuals who greet the visiting public, work behind the scenes processing artifact collections, and maintain the museum's collection of fully-operational WWII vehicles.

Many volunteers are WWII veterans; all are knowledgeable and able to answer questions about exhibits, enjoy engaging visitors in conversation, and share memories of WWII events. Visitors can easily spot a volunteer; they wear a red vest provided by the museum with a nametag. Volunteering at the museum is a great way to meet other people who share an interest in history.
