Veterans Social Muster

Calling all veterans, young and old! The American Legion’s Veterans Social Muster (VSM) is an opportunity for veterans and their families to receive interesting and valuable veteran-related information and socialize with fellow veterans. VSM meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month in the DuQuoin Education Center at the Wright Museum of World War II, 77 Center St., Wolfeboro.

The June VSM featured a presentation by Michael Hartt, American Legion State Service Officer. Mr. Hartt described the VA Services and Benefits process and how veterans can identify and obtain the benefits they are legally eligible to receive.

Veterans are encouraged to attend the next VSM on July 10, from 4:30-5:45, at the Wright Museum. The speaker will be Shawn P. Buck, Director of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at Boscawen. Mr. Buck will discuss the eligibility and procedures for veterans and their dependents to be interred at the cemetery.

If you have any questions or if you would like to discuss the VSM Meeting project, please contact Tom Southern, Commander, American Legion Post 18, (317) 432-1517.
