Ron Janowski – The Cold War: Decades of Division and Diplomacy

The Cold War, a broadbrush, but comprehensive presentation covering the major events of the Cold War from 1947-1989.  Highlighting the loan timespan and complex interplay between the United State and the Soviet Union spanning 4 decades.

Lieutenant Colonel (US Army Retired) Ron Janowski is a 1976 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and is a 2013 Master of Military History from Norwich University.  Both a veteran and an ‘Army brat,’ Ron has traveled extensively throughout his life.  He served twenty-two years active duty in the Field Artillery in the United States, Germany, and Canada.  He is a 1998 graduate of the Army War College.  Upon retirement from the Army, Ron taught Junior (high school) ROTC from 1998 to 2017  He is married to Karen Waid, also a veteran, since 1981.  They have a son, Philip.
