The Wright Museum Sets Its Sights on 31st Season

As we open the doors on our 31st season, we want to take a moment to give you a sneak peek at some of the fun and interesting things you’ll experience when you visit.

We have been working hard to create new, exciting exhibits, and we’ve put together a truly amazing Lecture Series for our 31st season. As always, we’ll have our permanent exhibits, like our Time Tunnel and Military Gallery, but we’ll also have fascinating seasonal exhibits.

From Spies to Satellites: The Cold War Era” runs from June 1 through September 1, 2025. For the first time ever, the Wright Museum will explore the Cold War era and how World War II laid the groundwork for the tension-filled decades that followed. The exhibit features objects on loan from the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. as well as a dynamic collection of espionage and space-race-themed pop culture objects from SuperMonsterCity. We hope you’ll join us to check out this one-of-a-kind look at the Cold War.

Those Who Cared for Those Who Served” will run from September 15 through October 31, 2025. This exhibit shines a spotlight on the unsung heroes who often fly under the radar when discussing World War II. From field medics to chaplains to hospital corpsmen and more, this exhibit sings the praises of those who cared for the troops who served throughout World War II. Join us in the fall for this very special look at those whose work meant so much to those who served on the battlefront.

Our annual Lecture Series kicks off May 28th with a look at “Spies and Space.” David Barnhill and Stephen Rueff, creators of the “Spies and Space” exhibit that will be shown at the Wright Museum this summer, will take us through a discussion focused on the years after World War II, from 1946 to 1991, when the United States and the Russian Soviet Union were dubbed “superpowers.” Focusing on the real-world drama and intrigue of international espionage, as well as our fascination with space, this is an evening you don’t want to miss! Check back for more information on upcoming Lecture Series topics to discover the other nights you just can’t miss at the Museum.

We have a vision to be the preeminent history museum that preserves and promotes a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the enduring contributions made by World War II-era Americans. With our 31st season, we’re inviting you to visit and become a part of our dream!
